This page explains what we believe in. As with any group we all have are own individual views, however this page explains our common views and aims for the future.
As we follow the Dorset Stop the War Coalition many of our views are the same as their's. We both follo what is known as the 'DECLARATION OF THE PEOPLES ASSEMBLY FOR PEACE'. Which was passed on 12 March 2003. It says the Assembly:

Believes that no case for war has been made, that the war threatened is in defiance of international law, and holds that it is possible to resolve the present international crisis by exclusively peaceful means

Condemns the British government for its military support, almost alone in the world, for a US-led attack on Iraq and believes that the government has thereby ceased to represent the interests of the British people on this issue
While unreservedly condemning the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, and supporting the cause of democracy in all the countries of the Middle East, expresses its solidarity with the civilian Iraqi women, men and children who will be the main victims of any war

Urges Members of Parliament to act in support of this policy of peace, believing that a failure to do so will represent a dereliction of their democratic duty and an abrogation of representative democracy

Believes that in the event of war starting, the Prime Minister should resign

Invites all the British people and their organisations to express their support for this declaration and take whatever action may be required to ensure its adoption as the policy of our country

Our Views on Israel We are in full support of Israel and her people. We do not however support Arial Sharon and his use of tanks in the built up areas of Gaza City. We are currenlty against a Palestinian state and will be until Yasser Arafat steps down and Hamas stops its bombimg campaign against innocent civilians. We will refuse to protest on anti-war marches if we believe that it will be used by pro-palestinians supporters to voice there anger at Israel. We leave our views on this issue at home and urge others to do so as well.

Our views on Tony Blair We believe that Tony Blair is not representing our country the way he was voted to do. We believe that he should either resign or try to end the War as soon as possible. He should not have started it in the first place and we believe he should now be pressuring the Americans to once the War is over to leave Iraq as soon as possible and not try to run it. We beleive that the Torries are not acting as The Opposition and that Iain Duncan Smith should resign and make way for someone more in touch with the British People.

Our Views on Saddam Hussein We believe that Saddam Hussein is a brutal killer who needs to be contained by The United Nations. We believe that the Weaons Inpsectors were doing an excellent job of doing this. We beleive War will only encourage him to kill more civilians. We belive that America killing him will only breed more terrorists and turn him into a martyr in the eyes potential terrorists.
